For those of you who are not familiar with the acronym PKSE, it stands for Pyar Ke Side Effects(yes, title of that Mallika, Rahul Bose flick) and if you dont know what the hindi word "Pyar" means than....
I love this phrase and off late i've vicariously felt quite a few these EFFECTS especially the Post Pyar Effects , its like those intermittent afterwaves of tremor that keep coming back after an earthquake and squash the residuum of whatevers left(Hope included). More on it later..
Happened to attend a lavish corporate bash yesternight and what follows are some of the details
First things first, Kay Kay (the singer) rocks and rocks damn good. It was the first time that I saw him perform live and it was so to say truly amazing. A possible reason being the sheer number of hits he has given...Less than 5 seconds after he started the opening song "Yaaron" almost everyone knew that they were in for some real melodious treat. One after the other the Songs kept pouring and all were drenched down to their hearts.
"Tu Aashiqui Hai", "Tadap Tadap Ke","Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai", "Pal","Awarapan Banjarapan","O Humdum" he sang 'em all and i believe each one of them did its' share of killings...Off all the songs that he sang a few that seemed to come deeper from his heart were "Awarapan" and "Tadap Tadap"..The crowd went crazy with girls swooning to just get a
Hand Shake or two. It was in most senses the stuff great music concerts are made of..
The party saw me meeting old pals, having a few cocktails, hypontized by the music and dancing my body off..For a minute I thought about the power that music has and the emotions
(to various extents) that it can generate in almost no time. Its like you listen to any meaningful song(HINDI particularly) and you'll find a line or two atleast to which you can correlate and they'll be sufficient to entrance you and take you to a different plane of thought n feelings alltogether.
Post show it was time to catch up on friends and happenings with/around them. Had late night conversations about lots of things, most of 'em can be labelled as PKSE.
That's how another night out came to an end and here i am making a note in my NOTEBOOK for some future nostalgic reference.
Kahan Kise Ke Liye Hai Mumkin
Sab Ke Liye Ek Sa Hona
Kahan Kise Ke Liye Hai Mumkin
Sab Ke Liye Ek Sa Hona
Thoda Sa Dil Mera Bura Hai
Thoda Bhala Hai Seene Mein
Awaarapaan Banjarapaan
Ek Hala Hai Sine Mein

Afterwave: I Don't think there's such a word but then that's how words are coined right ? :)
